Well... after purchasing and wasting time and money on a few guides that just plainly were not accurate and did not give complete instructions, I finally come across a guide that was just superior to the rest. 

I had absolute no knowledge of solar powered home systems, but the 90 page fully illustrated guide and fantastic video gave us step-by-step, detailed and accurate instructions that made building your own solar generator or wind generator so simple.

I followed the plans as instructed, and after purchasing all the materials required for $187.00 from my local hardware, my son and I completed our first solar panel in only 3 days ! 

A DIY windmill can produce 500 watts of power using 8 feet diameter blades, with wind speeds of 20 miles per hour.

To produce more power you can join multiple windmills together.

We had so much fun we couldn’t wait to make a wind generator. We spent $93.50 at the hardware for the windmill parts and our neighbour had an unwanted old TV antennae steel pole that was used as the support tower for our windmill.

Assembling the kit was much easier than expected. My son and I gained so much knowledge on how to generate your own electricity, that one day if I wanted to go move off grid I would be confident I could generate my own power and be self sufficient. 

As for energy savings I am now using approximately 60% less conventional power from the grid. I saved $1,200 on my Power Bill in the First Year ! I intend to add some more solar panels so I can save more money and even have extra power that I can sell back to the power company.

I should be able to easily move to 80% + power savings. That would amount to $1600 in my pocket each year - that's easy money !
